I have 11 days to finish and code and implement my new design for the CSS Reboot. I have 5 days to get this thing back in shape and apply for 9 rules. I have 2-5 days to finish two freelance projects. I am exhausted. The only thing I want to do is lay on my couch, play video games and work on the new Triple L Productions. I wish that this was even a remote possibility.

A while back I displayed a possible graphical mockup for the new TLP which had a heavy black, white and pink theme. I scrapped that a while back, and have something that I believe is super cool and appropiate for this site. I hope it works out. I hope I have time.

I also want to switch TLP over to Wordpress in this time. Haha. I'm just asking for an anyuerism. I actually planned to take the last 2 weeks of October off from work, but I got approached by two formed clients to do a quick project for each, that I couldn't refuse. Maybe next month I will take some time off. I don't want to burn out - but I don't want to lose work or clients either!

So good luck to all who are participating in the reboot. I hope you all get your designs done exactly as you want before Nov. 1st! I know I'll be busting my ass to get things done on time.

Ever just wake up, and think -- screw it all? Just want to throw the covers back over your head and sleep all day? Of course we all have those days. Well, I have had this all month. I can't concentrate. I can't work as much as I want (where usually I have 5 or so projects going on I'm barely doing two). I can't eat, or I eat too much. I started smoking again. I quit. I started again. I can't stop being anxious. I can't focus. I sleep too much and still feel tired. I wouldn't call it depression. I'm not depressed. I don't cry. I'm still able to function as a human... mostly. It all stems from an incident at the tail end of June, where my entire life was flipped upside down, and everything I thought I knew was shaken up, distorted, and put back together -- but all in the wrong places. I'm trying to be strong. To carry on as normal. To be happy. But I'm constantly followed by the fear that I'm not making the right decision. Or that which will not be spoken about will happen again if I make this decision.

I don't want to be hurt again. I don't want to be open to that, at least from this same person. But I don't want to lose everything that I spent the last 6 years building.

I'm crazy. I'm paranoid. I don't trust a soul. And I don't know what to do, and maybe this is what scares me more than anything else. Do I keep on the path I have currently chosen, and leave myself open to be betrayed again, to be lied to? Or do I just move on? Do I just do me? Do I say fuck it all, and just leave, disapear? Or do I stick around, anxious and paranoid all the time, but hopefull?

I have a enormous amount of pride, and need to be in control of myself. And when that spins out of control I feel like Iose touch with myself, and I'm lost. And I don't know what to do....

Bloglines had proposed a new standard to prevent search engines from reading and returning your private RSS feeds in searches.

we are proposing (and have implemented) an RSS and ATOM extension that allows publishers to indicate the distribution restrictions of a feed. Setting the access restriction to 'deny' will indicate the feed should not be re-distributed. In Bloglines, we'll use this to prevent the display of the feed information or posts in search results or any other public venue. If other readers and aggregators use the information in the same way, and publishers of feeds, including services that let users create feeds, implement this standard, we could make significant progress toward making feeds truly safe for non-public information.

For now, this means if you specify these settings Bloglines (and Ask.com) will not return these feeds in their searches.

From TechCrunch:

The proposed standard will allow XML/RSS/Atom feed publishers to keep their feeds out of search engines and unavailable for discovery by adding an access:restriction tag to the top of their feeds. Bloglines and Ask now support this tag and will keep feeds tagged as restricted out of their search and subscription results.

You’ll be able to pass a private feed URL to a friend you want to subscribe, but your prospective employer will not find it in participating search engines if you have a private account.

I have mixed feelings on this. I think it's wonderful that they would think of this, and the fact that it will allow those with private feeds a chance to keep them private ... but if you don't want people to discover the content in the first place, why publish it on the internet? Or at least why publish it with your name attached? Why not publish anonymously? Maybe I am just thinking backwards...

Today I got my very first personal cellphone. Yes, I am 23. Yes, I do live in NY. No, I really don't know how I went so long without one!

So, I got a pink Razr phone, through Verizon. It's nice. It's shiny.

Unlike many people I haven't found such a problem with navigating the menus, although I do agree with the gizmodo review, it definitely could be more intuitive than it is. And since I'm ghetto, I even recorded my own ringtones, cuz there is no way in hell I'll be paying 1.99 for one!

I've snapped a few pics on it, mostly surprise photos to use as photo ids when people call, so I can laugh everytime I see them. The quality, even on the phone is a bit grainy, and the colors could be better, but it works for only a 1.3 megapixel camera.

I find it hard to talk on when I'm trying to do something else, mostly because I'm so used to wedging my normal house phone between my chin and shoulder and going about my business as normal. And it took a bit of getting used to at first because if you don't have the phone just right on your ear the sound quality drops.

One thing I defintely don't dig is how the phone screen can touch your face as you talk, so your natural body oils get on the screen if you're not very careful. Not a very big deal, but on these 90+ days we are having it is a bit annoying. I wonder if they make cases for the Razr?

Well, it's snappy. It's pretty. I love it! Now just don't call me until after 9pm :) !

edit: I've had my phone active for a little over 3/4 hours and already dropped it on my hardwood floors. I managed to chip a small piece of the pink off the battery cover... otherwise working well dispite the nasty fall....

So I got faithfully to movable type forums... only I get this lovely message:

The Community Forums will be unavailable for a few days due to maintenance. Please check the Support page for alternate resources, or, if you have purchased a paid license which includes support, please log into Your Account and open a new help ticket to reach our technical staff. Thank you for your patience.

Hmmm, doesn't seem to be a smart idea to take your forum down for a "few days" four days after a new release of your software. And unfortunately this is the second time I've run into this error in the past two months. This combined with other people's unfortunate comments about how they handled releasing their new version (3.3) is really not helping things.... (Although if you look at the comments in any of those sites you will see Jay Allen, MT's Project manager explaining things)

In other news I got my invite to Vox yesterday, which is a new Sixapart project that is pretty much a mashup of myspace, flickr, livejournal annnnd all sorts of uneccessary Web 2.0 stuff. I'll be writing a review about that much later, once I have more time to test and mess with it!

In the end my mockups (one, two) wasn't chosen (I based my designs off of three reference sites), I was provided with the current design which I sliced and coded appropiately. Once static coding was finished I integrated everything into Movable Type making extensive use of several plugins and categories. Also integrated phpAdsnew.
